Whatever comes next

Everyday happenings here in the life of a 70 year old woman, happily married to the same man for 50+ years, who loves the outdoors, family, church, friends and the occasional casino trip. Nothing out of the ordinary till I realized that my ordinary is better than a vast number of other people who are not as blessed as I am. I write a little poetry, post some snaps and just hang out on the web as often as I can.

Morning walk in the back yard

The allysum finally took hold and came up very pretty. The other plant with them are what Mama used to call touch me nots, but the seed packet read impatiens. I have other plants we call impatiens. Sort of confusing, but all very pretty.

This cosmos. I have never tried this before and don't see much of it in the area. I love the fine texture of the foliage and the varied colors of the blooms. So far I have white, pink and this lovely rosy red.

I need help identifying this. I planted a packet of wildflower seeds and a pack of perennials in this spot. Nothing is blooming yet so I really can't tell which is weeds. Or are wildflowers weeds that just bloom pretty? The red is salvia.
